Dragon Eyes in Year 2

Year 1 Seasons Art

In Year 1 we have been learning about the different seasons. In art, we used paint, pastel, felt pen and colouring pencils to create a tree in each season. We then cut the trees into 4 and took our favourite part of each tree to make one tree showing all four seasons.

To start our unit on persuasive writing in English year 3 tried to convince me to let them wear pajamas to school. How do you think they did? Some of their arguments (for and against!) were very persuasive. 

Press Gang

 A group of children in Year 5 have independently created their own school newspaper. It has been produced to a very high standard and looks very professional. The newspaper is full of interesting stories, quizzes & activities. Children & staff around the school have enjoyed reading it. 

Great Fire of London cakes in Year 2

Year 2 made ‘Great Fire of London’ cakes using a contemporary recipe from 1666. There is evidence that it could’ve been the burning of small cakes which caused the fire!
