Year 6 Challenge activities2

This term Year 6 have mainly been working on the ELLI skills of challenge. Today the class was given the challenge of building a marble run that lasts for as close to 10 seconds as possible.

The Transatlantic Slave Trade

As part of Black History Month, Year 6 have been finding out about the transatlantic slave trade. Today we focused on Bristol's role in the slave trade. We searched the internet to find out how various locations in the city are connected to the slave trade.

Back to the future science?

Year 6 have continued to explore electricity in science lessons. This week the class were given the challenge of using the ‘Back to the future’ car to connect a circuit together.  The children were inspired by a clip of the film Back to the future when the characters needed to get power (electricity) to their car.

Praying with a rosary

October is the month of the Holy Rosary so today Year 6 tried praying with the rosary.
