Over the last couple of weeks, I have seen some fantastic learning in RE.

St Joe’s Virtual Advent Calendar - Catholic Social Teaching

For this year's St Joe's Virtual Advent Calendar our focus is on Catholic Social Teaching.

Each school day during Advent we will post pictures or videos displaying an aspect of Catholic Social Teaching. They will be displayed alongside a bible verse. The bible verses were selected by our Chaplaincy Team.

You will be able to see this virtual Advent Calendar on Class Dojo & here on our school blog.

Advent Prayer Bags

 During Advent, children will have the opportunity to take home an Advent prayer bag.

 Today Father Thomas gave Year 1 a tour around St Joseph's church.

Children in Need

 

The school raised a brilliant £150 for Children in Need this year.

Water Assembly

Year 6 gave a brilliant assembly on the theme of water. In the assembly they discussed the importance of water; the work of Cafod and an update our school charity -Clifton Diocese Emmaus Project.

Letters to World Leaders COP28 Climate Change

 Year 6 have been writing letters to world leaders to urge them to act on climate change.

 Year 5 gave a fantastic assembly on the theme of remembrance.
