St Joe's News & Views newspaper is currently on sale every Monday, Wednesday & Friday in the school playground. Written & produced by members of our Year 6 class, it is full of interesting stories and fantastic quizzes. All the profit goes towards our school charity 'The Clifton Diocese Schools Project'.
Reading and analysing poems about refugees
Following Peace Day, Year 6 have been reading and analysing poems about refugees. Today we looked at a fantastic poem by Brian Bilston. The poem contains two voices about refugees. The second voice becomes apparent when you read the poem in reverse.

Peace Day - Refugees
Today for Peace Day Year 6 focused on refugees and the difficulties they face. We made paper boats to highlight their plight and had some reflection/prayer time.
Looking at wars since World War 2
Today is International Peace Day . Year 6 have been looking at the location of wars since WW2. We quickly realised there were so many wars it would take too long to locate them all.
