St Joseph's art and poetry exhibition
We started this term with a week celebrating poetry and art across the school. The children worked hard to perform, write and reflect on poetry on the theme of light and as usual amazed us all with their enthusiasm and creativity. They then used different mediums to create their own artwork, from recycled sun catchers, to collage, pastels, paint and ink.
To celebrate all this we invited parents in to see their hard work in an exhibition of poetry performances, published poems and artwork. It was great to have parents back in school as their children proudly showed their work and lovely as the children looked round and got a glimpse of what others had done.
Take a look below and their wonderful work.

Investigating barcodes
Today, Year 6 investigated barcodes. The final digit in a barcode is the checking digit used to confirm the number has been scanned correctly. The children undertook barcode calculations to see if they could get the checking digit. They also explored the starting numbers of barcodes to see where products came from.
