Today's act of Catholic Social Teaching focuses on participation. Year 2 have been making food and spending time with people they love. They have shown acts of kindness and celebrated the people in their lives.

Our first act of Catholic Social Teaching is from our recent Red Wednesday event. We wore red to show solidarity with persecuted Christians throughout the world and especially those being persecuted in Africa.

For this year's St Joe's Virtual Advent Calendar our focus is on Catholic Social Teaching.
Each school day during Advent we will post pictures or videos displaying an aspect of Catholic Social Teaching. They will be displayed alongside a bible verse. The bible verses were selected by our Chaplaincy Team.
You will be able to see this virtual Advent Calendar on Class Dojo & here on our school blog.
During Advent, children will have the opportunity to take home an Advent prayer bag.
